Yes I read all that. But I'm wondering what became of 86m1028. He was wading through several suggestions and never got back with what actually fixed his problem, if a fix was ever achieved. He did opine that the fix might be a different engine.
Thirteen years later, what was the outcome of this problem? My 90 Suburban 6.2 is doing this exact thing. I did a google search and it brought up this thread. I can't access The Truck Stop through the link and I can't find the thread on their website. Truck ran great, then it sat a couple...
I've read conflicting things. That they will be taken care of locally, and that the PO isn't allowed to sell anything and they will all be scrapped. That being said I have seen LLVs out in the wild so someone knew something, or someone.
I don't want one to use, I just want one. Just as...
Hi everyone.
I'm enquiring about liquidators that the government uses for the trucks and whatnot, I figure someone here would be knowledgeable and might be able to answer my question.
Call me crazy, but I want an LLV. Will the Post Office be disposing of them through places like GovPlanet or...
Welcome from Stockbridge. I had one of these trucks for a short time, a few years ago. Wish I wouldn't have sold it. Good luck with it they are way cool.
Hi everyone.
I get a death wobble in my Deuce around 35-40 mph. Steering wheel shakes pretty hard but the truck doesn't wander. I'm suspecting it's the front tires; I bought a used pair of take-offs. They look okay but might be out of round or unbalanced.
Question, can I swap the front...
Any reason you can't just drive it? Looks like about 160 miles, none of it interstate. That would be an awesome ride. I drove my Deuce and a half from Dothan to Atlanta.
Thanks Barrman. And everyone. I agree it's best not to flat tow or use a dolly, but this was going to be a matter of convenience and time saving. This truck was in Charlotte, so if anyone here is who bought it, looks like you got a good one.
Well thanks everyone. Truck is sold I don't even have to worry about it now.
But the question was never answered. I have time to look it up in the TM now.
I'll be towing with an 02 Silverado 2500HD. The big thing is what to put the truck on. As I sit here waiting for people to reply not to use the tow dolly, I've decided I'm not going to use the tow dolly and go push something off one of my trailers and just use a trailer. It will be a big...
Hi everyone.
This may be obvious to everyone but me so I'm going to ask. Ridicule is acceptable because I really should know this.
I'm going to retrieve a CUCV Blazer about 4 hours from my house by interstate. The easiest form of transport is a tow dolly. If I tow the truck with the back...
