Home at Last - and Thankful!!!
I finally managed to limp her home. The culprit seems to be the loss of the rear main seal. Ran great with no problems for 500 miles of a 750 mile journey and then it started slipping. While driving heard a muffled pop sound followed shortly by the clutch...
Need recovery of Deuce and/or M1009 in Lafayette, LA Area
Need someone to pickup Disabled Deuce and/or its accompanied M1009 deuce from their roadside location to a holding location until I can arrange to repair/tow to Houston.
Need Transport from Lafayette, LA to Houston, TX ASAP
Need my deuce and m1009 (attached by towbar) transported from Lafayette to Houston. Was enroute last night when experienced clutch or transmission problems. Truck ran and drove when parked, but wouldn't stay in 5th and was leaking fluid from...
Anyone able to assist with transporting a down deuce from Lafayette area to Houston ASAP. Had clutch or tranny problems last night and afraid to move her until I can get her looked at. I have an M1009 hooked to her by towbar. I'll need both transported. PM me if interested. Tim
The expense is not in the electronics itself. The expense is the engineering and marketing that goes into the product. If you think that the total of the constituent components in your product amounts to more than $10 - $15 bucks, you are deluding yourself. I was following this post to see...
If this is all about sharing knowledge, helping fellow hobbiests (including newbies) out with info to further our fun at minimal cost, I am very willing to document how you can put together a control system here a really minimal cost. Heck, I don't even own one a 1031, but being the relative...
I was issued a "paid in full" last week for my Duece but when I contacted the site rep I was told that it was on hold because they needed to have a crew come out and check to see if the gages contained the radium illumination paint. So, I guess that is the issue. We are just wainting for them to...
Is there anyway someone could disengage the PTO with the control box still trying to correct by bringing the engine rpm up? You might reconsider and have your failsafe work based on sensed engine rpm. That's where the most damage could occur, I'm guessing. You could add your sensor to the...
You might want to add a reference to the engine tach as well. PTO shaft failure could result in a situation where pto rpm is within spec but engine rpm is driven up beyond a safe operating range. Else, the implementing a rev limiter might be a good idea. Perhaps a scenario might be where the pto...
Did you try to sensing off of the engine tach signal? Or, did you just decide to add a sensor to the pto shaft. Also, is there any fault sensing with your setup?
Initially, concern was raised that this should have been placed in the classifieds. The subsequent posts, for the most part, were of techinical nature. I myself have no need for one of these, but am interested in what it is he found a solution for. I take interest in learning of the systems of...
Brianrull, I don't know what thread you have been reading but, I haven't read anything from any "Nay Sayers". All I have read about is a discussion in this forum about what this thing is and alternatives to the problem at issue. After all, this is a discussion group. If it wasn't open to...
