I've always run pump diesel since I've had it. The previous owner (diesel mechanic) told me he always ran diesel as well. I was having the same issue with idling but it went away after warming up. The fluid in that chamber was black like used motor oil but thin like diesel....thought it was odd.
Success! Fired up without issue. Ran it for 45mins with a 10 min cool down. Shut down and restarted several times and no problems. Gonna try again today and see if it's still good.
It was definitely sticky. With eng stop lever in I popped the cover off and lever was in the 5 o'clock position not 7. Manually moved it back and forth several times and it loosened up. Left it at 7 and put the cover back. Waiting on battery booster to charge......
This is all new to...
Trying to sell my deuce and of course now it wont start, I swear it knows what im up to. I've scoured the forums and need some help.
Issue...Ran it couple months back, started ok but kept dying if I took my foot off the throttle. After it warmed up and drove it for about 20 minutes problem...
With 3 cores I was still out 275.....Be sure to get the red label ones not the blue label marine ones. I've read that econo powers are like 40-50 each but couldn't source them in my AO.
Also battery related....replaced the group 31 batteries that were in my deuce when I bought it in 2016. Interstate econo powers. Probably would have made it one more year had I ran the truck more over the winter. 12.5v on bat 1, 11.25 on bat 2, and that's after charging overnight. Put...
In regards to the JW speaker type headlights....I have a set of knock offs in my M35 (were free to me) and they throw great but I dont drive much in the winter. Our dept hmmwv has the heated truck lite style and they throw more flood than spot. Good either way.
Just took mine out for a drive. Sat for 3 months due to work/life etc. 65 F out so started w/o a problem. Nice sunny day so I decided to get some pics and put 'er in TOTM contest this month.
Totally digging that. Would love to have one for lifitng stuff into my p/u truck (IBC tanks, tractor implements, etc.
Am I correct that the poles are 2 piece? Do you use a hitch pin or high grade nut/bolt to keep them together?
