hmmmm, bob'd duece pulling a regular duece bed on a dually 105 trailer. Best of both worlds, perhaps worst of both. My wife is going to make me stop reading this metal/porn site if I keep building crazy things and driving them home and parking them in her yard!
Cheers from over here,
Cole
update: I just tried getting these blasted englishmen to do this for me. showed the pic and everything...no way, wont do it, just not done mate. ugh!
so, having a new set of rims made for about 180$ each locally to put the 395's on :-(

I'm registering my bobber in the UK as a "Yard Tug"...
I'm trying not to let them know that I have drastically reduced the weight of the truck. The advantage of bieng an old big truck is it is MOT (state inspection) exempt. I have NOOOO CLUe what Colorado would dol. Good luck, keep us posted...
Added a Dynomax muffler from Summit Racing. Sounds great! Whacked off the stack, welded on the muffler, slipped the upper stack into the oter end and welded it on as well. Lowered the end of the stack about 5 inches or so. Better that way for serious off roading (less likely to catch on limbs)...
Here are some pics as I go along. Notice the new muffler welded into the stack. MUCCCHHHH better than stock. Boxes on rear chassis rail are the air assist steering I'm going to install this weekend! Next comes re-installing the rear crossmember, reconnecting the glad hands, bleeding the brakes...
I wish I had a plasma torch! That would have made life a lot easier. The standard gas axe was very messy and hard. My original idea was/is to stretch the duece cab all the way to the back and fab up scalloped sides like a wwii dodge command car. It would be nice to have the kids (wife too!) in...
A better way is if you have one of the portable jump starters, the kind that plug into the wall and have short jumpers on them, attach it to the rear battery and regular cables to the front. Works a treat!
Cheers from over here,
Cole
Hello Warren,
Take a look at my last post in the "Duece Bobbing" thread for the quick and dirty version of removing the last axle. You will need to rob the springs, spring hangers, shocks, Ubolts, the bottom plate the ubolts go through, the upper shock mounts and DONT FORGET to get the little...
Looks Like I wont need to go through all the drama. Here is a pic of a stock 2.5 tonne rim with a 395/85 XML stuffed on it. I was always taught you could use a narrower rim, but not a wider one.
Cheers from over here!
Cole
I know this thread has been started but....
just for the record, can you slice out the center of 2.5 tonne rim and weld it into a 5 tonner super-single and then hack out the superflous middle section?
cheers from over here,
cole
