Funny about this post. I have been looking at M900 series trucks on GL. They sometimes have good photos of the gauges and the other day I saw a shot of a M923A2 at idle at 650 RPM and the Oil Pressure guage was at zero. That would scare the heck out of me.
Its sad that the military put the Huey out to pasture. Most army pilots love flying the UH1. In flight school it was like getting into a caddy from the TH-55.
That's cool! We were in Pensacola last year when we saw the UH-1H mounted on a stand at a park near the bridge to Gulf Breeze FL. I saw the serial number (tail number) and realized it was a Huey I flew in the Guard here in Birmingham for years.
