I pulled the engine out of the truck today.
Removed the steering pump an swaybar.
After that I used some degreaser and the high pressure washer. Most of the sticky grease is now out of the engine bay.
Tomorrow I'm going to test fit the ORD steeringpump bracket. And also check the brake...
I understand why, only I haven't heard the engine running at the previous owner. First O want to be sure it is functional. The wires are correct and all the other lines etc are functional.
After that and some test driving I probably pull it out again. It's not that time consuming or difficult.
Not at this moment. First priority is to get the engine connected so it runs and drives again.
Maybe next year I'll start with the upgrades.
First I have to know the engine sounds ok.

Late 2018 I found the M1028 at SS and was able to buy it and ship it to Europe, the Netherlands.
It came with the 4l80e already mounted to the standard 6.2.
I have a m1008 with an 4l80e that has been converted by the previous owner.
According to the ez tcu handheld it shift trough all gears and starts in the first gear.
It only feels like it leaves in 2nd and I think the torque converter is not the correct one.
It has 106 gm 81 engraved.
With the annual check of my M1028 it showed the problem with the rear brake.
Problem: driver side has approx 25% brake pressure and the passenger side works perfect.
I can't seem to get more brake pressure.
Already done in trying to solve the problem:
Load valve sensor delete and replaced...
