A/C valve replacement, need cold air please!

Correct, the generic heater valve isn't good enough.

A/C valve replacement, need cold air please!

This is what Black Dog put in, and this is the style that actually will block all the coolant so your A/C can be cool. You can also turn the dash switch to heat with this valve shut and just run the fan to have another option rather than hot or cold.

A/C valve replacement, need cold air please!

Yea, I sort of abandoned the thread. The standard valve shown above isn't good enough, hot coolant will still leak past it (it won't completely block tap water if you run through it). It blocks most and gets it much cooler, but not enough to be acceptable once engine heats up. Black Dog...

So you got your new HUMVEE home. Now What

I just went with AC Delco since it's a GM engine. It came home with a Fram, so that may be with the USMC is buying.

    transmission control module replacement

I know I was getting the 5V ref, ground, and the variable 0.4-4.5V. Did the truck with the fuel filter harness wiring issue get these at the TPS plug end?

    transmission control module replacement

I think I need a new TCM to get the TC to lock. Yes the trans light works. In the past I would get codes about the ratios being low, high, unexpected. I will see if anything different this time.

    transmission control module replacement

The torque converter stopped locking, the shift from 1st to 2nd makes "squoosh" noise, and the shift into third is very late. Fourth gear shifts smoothly right around 40mph. When I first got the truck the transmission was slipping and shifts were horrible, eventually just only would run in limp...

    transmission control module replacement

My transmission doesn't shift well, and after eliminating everything else I can think of I feel the TCM is just garbage. I had the transmission rebuilt, new OEM throttle position sensor, and zero reason to believe the RPM sensor is bad. Aren't the only things not IN the transmission the TPS, rpm...

A/C valve replacement, need cold air please!

Got the manual valve installed a couple days ago. Moved the air intake out of the way a bit, but pretty straightforward install. It is slightly longer than the Thermotion coupler and so did not need extra hose nor that much longer where I needed to cut either. Thanks guys! I basically have a...

A/C valve replacement, need cold air please!

I actually did this today to test. I got off the spring with some needle nose pliers and then pushed it forward. I disconnected the wiring, but that was likely not necessary. Unfortunately it's not very cold, but it was the main issue. I moved it back and forth once the engine warmed up and made...

A/C valve replacement, need cold air please!

So I just unplug the connection in the first pic and zip tie out of the way, disconnect the two hoses in the second picture and remove the electrical heater control value and insert the new manual one in? The shut position on the valve should be AC and the open heat, correct?

A/C valve replacement, need cold air please!

    Found it on Amazon. Thanks!

A/C valve replacement, need cold air please!

I wasn't finding anything useful on YouTube and searches on here did not help much either. While I have fairly decent mechanic skills and a few good tools, I am pretty clueless when it comes to A/C systems on cars (successfully replaced capacitor on home A/C before! haha). I need help. When I...
