****, well looks like ill take the same route. you guys are no where near florida. besides 73m819... wonder where i could find one around here... found one on ebay for 185 but thats still a bit steep for a used one.
ill start from the beginning...
sunk her in a pond, had to wait till next day to get an excavator to it to pull it out, motor was 1/2 way under for at least 24 hours, drained and replaced oil, then it was sat for 2 weeks...
now, friday i went to go start it, click. ok so starter has stuck...
really? thought it was illegal. well, i wouldnt suggest it. with no mechanical link, loss of pressure can do funny things... & no running pump = no steering. so no towing with engine not running.
ya... and what good does that do? that lil yota pump put outs more than enough pressure to turn my junk. also i had the pump laying around already. a larger pump is not necessary. also the pump is completely stock. if need be i could always turn the pump up a little bit as well. i see no reason...
ha no im gonna pass on the kit making. Im sure there are much better ways than what i have done. Just thought i would throw my .02 on hydro steer in there!
This is mounted without air compressor. i added a small electric air compressor in the cab. works well. The tacoma pump has a remote reservoir i mounted on the firewall which makes for installing the pump easier for space issues. I also had to search for the right size belts which consisted of...
first off, i have mounted it twice. first time with the stock air compressor in place, and then i removed my air compressor. Mounting with air compressor was a bit of a pain for space but still worked well. ill put some pics up.
i know its not street legal, but my full hydro steer i can turn sittin still with my pinky 3 turns lock to lock. with a 84 tacoma PS pump, tractor supply 3x12 steering ram, and eaton 4 port steering valve... just a thought. whole set up cost me around 450 + my labor (which is free to me...)...
well, first off it doesnt see any hard road with 64x24 Rice and canes & um, not sure how you figure that? i have 5 tons with 6.44 ratios & this is a stock air lock case i am referring to... i have simply overruled the air lock feature. the solenoid no longer needs air to engage because it is...
well found a solution to my issue at hand, i simply took the solenoid off and shoved a lugnut against the air shift diaphragm and repleaced solenoid. it is now sealed and all time 4wd. works for me.
My M35A2 i believe has a bad water pump.... i think this because:
1) water in my oil
2) can top radiator off and next day will be ridiculiously low with no leaks
anything else you guys thing it could be before i replace it?
