I wasn't concerned with the fact that they weren't state side or dual circuit since I'm going to convert it to an m35a3 style with 2 air packs. I was hoping to find the guy who found the metric equivalent and buy a pallet from alibaba to make pre-made kits for the m35 and m54. Of course I would...
I know I've seen someone do it before, but someone figured out either a metric or an alternate vehicle air brake booster that was compatible. Just wonderin if anyone remembers what it was.
I would love to convert over to air brakes but I don't have the spare 5k to blow on them at this time. As it would only cost me about 1k to split the systems
500 for m35a3 brake system(without lines to wheels and wheel cylinders)
240 for m35 airpack rebuild kit x2
200 for airdryer kit
60 for...
As long as you don't mind waiting until spring I can surely make a writeup for everyone here. Honestly shouldn't be terribly difficult as it's simply adding complexity and basing it off of the m35a3 system
I forgot to mention that I will retain the 5 ton air pack for the rear brakes and trailer brakes. Based on how you're taking it I'd assume I should be fine with a m35 airpack specifically for the front wheels and the original for the rears. I'll likely do a writeup on how I'll be converting mine...
I probably should have worded it a little better but yes I'd be doing a complete master cylinder swap and using the existing lines, the only exception being what it would take to pipe in the second airpack for the front brake system. I just wanted to know if anyone advised against the use of the...
I'm not sure if this question has been asked before or not but, I'm looking to convert the single circuit system to a dual circuit. Would it be a bad idea to use an M35A3 master cylinder and a short airpack from it for the front wheels?
Thank you for this information. I haven't obtained a TM yet, so this information is quite helpful. I'm rather new to the 5-ton world, so learning many of the unique things about them is going to be normal now.
I recently acquired an M54A2 and I'm looking to fix some of the minor issues with the vehicle, one of the issues that has been baffling me is the NSN# or even the existence of the parts for the early power steering system on it.
The TMs have the diagram and the description with it but I've...
