35's will fit but minor fender trimming is required. and with the 3.08 gears it will be slower. If you dont beat on it that bad the 10 bolts will hold out for a little while.

No just get a 3/4 ton rear from any truck from 73-80 and it will bolt right in. The spring pads and shock mounts are dif on true 1 tons.

When i got my 1008 all it needed was 2 battery terminals and one of the batteries charged to run.:-P But found out very soon the trans was junk.:(

Pull the cover off the rear axle and devide the ring gear teeth by the number of pinion teeth. if your speedo slowed down you probably have 2.73 if it sped up maybe 3.42 or 3.73

I got this thing from GL about a month ago is this considered a cucv II or not ? It has 6.2 J code, 4l80e but the gvwr is only 8600lbs. Just curious , and whats the plug on the trans tunnel for ? Any info would be appreciated thanks.

Sell the 6.2 and the 454 and build a 383. less heat then the 454 , way more power then the 6.2 and less weight on the front end. and it will bolt in.
