Thank you all for the help! It was the transmission plug!
Now to track down the fuel leak and why the oil pressure Gauge isn't working...
Going to spend some time with the technical manual
Ok, took head back out. It moves and returns freely. I did pit a pencil in the top by removing the bolt and cranked before removing. I could feel it going up and down.
So, any ideas what next? Still have it out.
I avoided it like the plague, was a last ditch effort to see if it would even fire up. I am guessing it was a bad rebuild then. Will call the shop monday that did it and see what they think. Thanks welldigger. I am going to look around for a used HH.
Okay, took it out again. Quadruple checked everything. Put back in. Nothing. Started with ether. Ran (louder than normal) but died when ether ran out. Took bolt out of center of head and it did not move a stick. Is this a result of a bad head rebuild?
Facts: Fuel to the head is good...
Ok, I know that part and I see the concept. I am just not sure how to tell it got in the right spot. I have put it all back together and tried moving the fuel rod around in a few different ways but no luck. I am going to step away... again... and try again later. I am so over this/......
Does this button look right???
This is the button Delco Diesel put on my HH when they rebuilt it. Just noticing it looks different from pictures others are posting....
Took the head back out to make sure button was on and it is. Before removing, I opened the injectors and broke the return on #6 and no fuel. The cutoff lever is free and returning to the 7 o clock position. Any other ideas?
Pulled head to ensure marks were lined up and that is all good. Turns over, smoke comes out, not start..... Any other ideas? Was running before, just shot all the fuel into the block. News seals on HH stopped leak. Now what? I am so lost...
