What tire pressure do you use in M1078 ?

How much does your truck weigh and how does it feel at that higher psi?

    M35A2 expedition mini home

Not sure if you already figured out the design for your entry, but I saw this in an RV facebook group and thought I’d share since they bolted the stairs inside. I wonder if such a setup would make space for long stairs.

    M35A2 expedition mini home

I That’s a real concern. I’m thinking of building somewhere to store it while I drive and just put it up everytime I set up on site.

Is the ladder designed in a way to be easily removed in case you want to store it elsewhere?

Are you planning on mounting a grey water tank? Or is that a fuel tank?

    Deuce Rough Terrain Limitations

Wow yep I bet that was quite the feeling getting that heavy dozer out! 😅 I never had to get anything that heavy. I’ve been overlanding full-time for 16 months now so I’ve had to dig myself out a few times but nothing that serious and hopefully less now with the deuce. But everyone benefits from...

    Deuce Rough Terrain Limitations

I had not thought of the block & tackle that’s something I’ll look in to! That’s much cheaper. I don’t have a winch and I think it would add too much extra weight for something I can only use if I have something to attach to right in front of me. I know a lot of the europeans overlanding in...

    Deuce Rough Terrain Limitations

I appreciate your advice. I thought it would be feasible because I’ve seen a few people on SteelSoldiers having their wheels welded so maybe I thought it wouldn’t be a problem. Maybe most of them have welding certificates or asked a certified welder to make them?

    Deuce Rough Terrain Limitations

Hm yes changing the hubs could be benefitial to increase the capability of the Deuce. I agree that with the items we’ve talked about the 5 ton would do better. This thread isn’t exactly talking about my truck necessarily, but to understand better the limitations of the Deuce while I’m learning...

    Deuce Rough Terrain Limitations

Thanks for those links! I understand now that the reason the MRAP wheel fits the Deuce is because that 10x335 bolt pattern can be adapted for the 2.5ton axle, whereas all the rims with zero offset that I found have a 10x11.25” (10x285) what they are referring to as “commercial semi truck bolt...

    Deuce Rough Terrain Limitations

Dave has a rim that seems to have the same backspacing as a m1076 listed as a “HEMAT Trailer rim” https://www.easternsurplus.net/PartDetails/4422/Ti-119-HEMAT-Trailer-Rim-M989A1 and could possibly be beadlocked with this...

    Deuce Rough Terrain Limitations

Thanks! I checked it out and also searched the TM for the m1076 but didn’t find specs on the rims. Ultimately the one on the link I sent has enough backspacing like the PLS rims, so I believe it would just come down to if the lug pattern and mounting hole size would work with an MRAP adapter...

    Deuce Rough Terrain Limitations

Are these the same m1076 wheels? https://militarytires.ca/product/20x10-trlr-wheel/

    Deuce Rough Terrain Limitations

When it comes to that amount of flexion are we talking half full tires or very low tires like the kind that needs a beadlock?

    Deuce Rough Terrain Limitations

Thanks for the advice! Do the m1076 wheels fit on a deuce using the adapter plate for the HEMTTs?
