Anyone with more knowledge of hummers know if these boots will fit the newest style Ball joint? The Links below show the correct part number ball joint for my truck, a REV 1165a1. But the parts manual does not list the boot, only that it is part of a complete ball joint kit. Says in the...
I could easily be looking at this wrong, but it looks to me like the blower resister only affects the front blower through wire 399, and the rear gets it power from wire 435- unaffected from the resister?
again I don’t have enough experience to know if the rear evaporator blower should go to...
I did get the 40 degree temp about of both evaporators.
Maybe there’s where I’m confused now. The image above, right side, line item 8 says 5lbs 8oz of refrigerant. So perhaps I’m high, not low?
but as a general automotive question, the guy at the AC shop wouldn’t need to know that amount...
That would be frustrating, seeing that I’ve had it back to that shop twice. If that’s the problem I’ll have to take it somewhere else.
is this the best page the manual?
I guess I don’t understand how they measure the weight of the refrigerant? Is it possible to know how many pounds are in...
I think you’re onto something. Because if I cycle the AC off then immediately back on, it blows again.
I’ll have to figure out what’s causing it, and then order all the parts with my new valve to save on shipping! lol
So the last issue I am having with my AC, may not be an issue at all. It pertains to the rear evaporator like in the 1165 and 1151.
It will randomly shut off(stop blowing air) and then start back up again 30 seconds, a minute, some short time later. The front evaporator blows as normal during...
Well I went to Lowe’s and bought a 3/4” Pex B valve that works perfectly. So the one from rock auto I bought must be defective.
PS Pex A valves are too big. You want Pex B
So are you saying mines on the wrong hose or on the wrong side of the elbow?
I installed it exactly where the other one was, but I’m replacing the newer electric controlled valve with the manual one.
Like blowing on it? Good idea, but I did not. But I did notice it was a strange valve in general. My post from another thread:
https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/a-c-diagnostic-help.220440/page-4#post-2611083
I installed my valve. No cable yet. But it seems to let fluid through, even when shut. I stupidly ordered thenone
At idle, My front ac is only cool while the rear unit is cold.
with any rpm the front begins to heat up real quick while the rear stays cold.
so I’m guessing it’s a bad valve...
I received my valve in the mail. Is it normal for the thing to go past its “full open” and then restrict flow again?
One pic is the max open the valve will actually be. Other pick (less daylight) is when the lever is all the way to open
