So an update on the OT-90
Spent the night going thru the TM specifically the sections on electrical systems for the OT-90.
This morning we went down and pulled both batteries out of the vehicle. I cleaned all the terminals and then rewired everything - tested voltage at the batteries 12.4 in...
So we were working on the OT-90 the other morning and she started right up. Packed up some things and shut her down.
Today we went to start her and ...... nothing.
First steps - check the batteries - 12.3v on each battery and 24 volts across both - looked good. We always seem to have an...
So after all the new oil and continuous dumping of diesel fuel into her three tanks it was time to take the OT-90 for a spin. The rational, well if were going to take it to the MG Shoot after all this work imagine how bad it would look if we missed something and ended up with a broken down...
So this last weekend began with someone saying how hard could it be to change the oil....... never temp the gods of mechanical "things".
We have certainly learned a few things over the years with the OT-90. I am convinced their are secret Russian motor pool tools that we never see and are...
This weekend is going to be busy with tank preparations. We fell behind a week with real life getting in the way..... boys had Prom which resulted in Tuxedo rentals & returns as well as lots of pictures - but now back to the OT-90.
First we wanted to make sure and not have to jump start the...
Most of the time we simply leave a spare barrel from a M2 .50 Caliber MG in the turret - helps with the barrel so things don't look "strange" with no weapon in the turret. There is no coax MG in the turret at this time.
That's right we are breaking out of the COVID-19 bubble and prepping the OT-90 for the Annual Stone Mountain Machine Gun shoot.

So we used to attend the shoot each year when it first started then life happened. The event...
Looking for a source for some spare parts for the OT-90.
Specifically looking for some new road wheels...... or someone that replaces the rubber on existing wheels.
Have some chunks of rubber missing off a few wheels and want to get ahead of them becoming unserviceable.
Since it's an OT-90...
They cost .11 cents..... walked out with a handful. With all those air lines in the engine compartment I am sure I will be replacing more in the future.
I did notice the internal support piece that slides inside the plastic hose - in this case it is attached to the fitting. I removed the fitting from the engine while I am working on the air line.
There is a Parker Fittings dealer 15 minutes from my house... the things you never knew...
So I started to hear a large air "hiss" from under the hood of the M35a3.
Took forever to isolate the air leak but I final tracked it down to a blown air line on the upper section of the Cat 3116 engine.
So I remove the damaged section of the line - it blew right outside the connector into...
Wanted to sent a HUGE Thank You out to everyone that made this a great show.... people were spooked off by the weather forecast for sure. The crowd was lighter and the yes there were some missing dealers and open spaces but for those that braved the elements it tuned into some amazing weather...
