If checking for voltage, it will need to be connected, but when ohming it out, disconnected. So I would leave it disconnected and do those resistance tests first.
Beer and Burgers work. Good Luck
Have your buddy check page 6-15( AC Output Box Test Setup) in the TM (I'm sure I'll talk to him before he comes over).
I should be around if you need me to check anything on my MEP.
Good Luck.

FYI, He works best if you tempt him with grape crayons ;)
I have a bill of sale and NY Title but mine is a '93. I'm hoping to get it registered this week if it all works out. Not sure if I have to put the vehicle weight or GVW on any of the forms.
Mike, that dump body I'm sure is going to come in handy. : ) Good Luck
So, if a VIN Verification is done locally (say at a shop that provides that service), does one need to go to Bridgeport WITH with truck to get it registered?
Can I go to my local DMV with VIN verification form, reg. form, and insurance card? Should the truck be registered Antique or Classic...
I'll be watching this thread. I'm in the same boat. M35A3 out of NY looking to register in CT. I hear we may need to build a bumper for the rear, and make sure the mud flaps are intact. Not sure what other tips and tricks to getting them registered. Hoping to get mine registered in March. Good...
Do you have a test light or DMM with an AMP (Current setting)?
To trouble shoot for a draw, place the test light or DMM (set to measure current. Usually limited to 10amps) between the Battery Negative post and the Negative wire (this is the wire/connection that normally goes on the battery).

My intent was to help justify a secondary/emergency braking solution. For me, even if it was a one time use and I saved someone else's life or my own, it would have been worth the money. Good Luck with the install. I hope you reply back with the results of the installation and testing thereafter.
Hypothetically speaking, IF you were to lose your brakes in a Deuce and a half, How would you try stop it? (maybe down shift?)
I'm just thinking the pinion brake has to be better than nothing? (Or a tree, passenger car, etc.)
Did the generator lose it's excitation field? Might want to try "Flashing" the field before throwing parts at it.
Buddy of mine called me over the summer from his boat and asked why he might have lost output voltage from his generator. Had him flash the field with a 9V battery and got the...
So, would this be a recommended OH S#!t solution if the Main Brakes were to fail? I'm thinking in case of emergency PULL UP on Handle/Lever!! It would only be there as a supplement to the factory braking system used rarely if ever (or if off-roading at a snails pace).
I have an A3 but often...
Hello,
I've read through a bunch of threads regarding registering a MV. Seems like most of the posts for CT dated back to 2014. I would like to know if anyone has registered a M35Ax within the last year in CT? Where should I go, do I need to have a bumper fabricated (front and/or rear), what I...
Wiring
How do you plan on wiring that transfer switch? Are you just going break the Neutral? You will need to pay particular attention to the Neutral to Ground bond within the Generator. I will try to post something tomorrow on generator wiring.
