    Manual CTIS Conversion for M-1078

Looks like it would work fine. I haven’t seen a valve like that, looks like it could be manual CTIS 2.0🙂

    Manual CTIS Conversion for M-1078

Hi CRay, my truck is out at the farm, but I think the tubing is 1/2". If it is, it will have a 13/16" compression nut. If memory serves me correctly, the line coming out of the tee is the air line coming from the tank, the other is the line going to the CTIS. Next time I am at the farm I can...

    Manual CTIS Conversion for M-1078

I just used standard plastic air break lines and fittings from NAPA.

    Manual CTIS Conversion for M-1078

In the attached pictures, behind the right passenger kick plate, the air line on the left with the white mark is the supply, it goes to the inlet side of the regulator. The line on the right side with the white mark is the supply line going to the axles. To air up the tires from 20 psi to 55...

the air supply line is on the left, line to axles is on the right. Hope this helps, tjhuffy.

    Manual CTIS Conversion for M-1078

I would not want air pressure in the lines more than needed, I think it would cause the axle seals to ware out sooner. If you have a slow leak air it up each time before you drive it. Hope this helps. tjhuffy

    Manual CTIS Conversion for M-1078

That is going to be my next step, no leaks on axles, yokes are tight no play, no metal in the diffs. didn't notice the vibration / noise until I repaired the fan clutch, that ran all the time. The truck only has 7,300 miles on. I'm very attentive to noise, vibration, rattles, etc. and want to...

Nice touch on the exhaust filter Pointman, glad I was able to help you out. Now if I could just find the vibration in my driveline I would be very happy with my truck.

Suprman, I realize the seals dont have air on them when the air is dumped, but if the CTIS is in active inflate mode wouldn't it help keep the water out of the air lines?

    Manual CTIS Conversion for M-1078

I have completed the installation of my manual CTIS system. After several discussions with all of you I tried out different theories discussed and here are my results. With regulator / tires set at 55 psi, air supply valve (ASV) open, dump valve (DV) closed; the tires didn’t start to deflate...

    Manual CTIS Conversion for M-1078

If it has three air lines coming out of the control valve it should. Mine has an air supply in, a air out to the axles, ans a dump line to atmosphere.

    Manual CTIS Conversion for M-1078

Thanks for the kind words Konichiwa512. I didn't try experimenting different methods when the first one I tried gave me the results I was looking for. It would appear if the tires are at 55 psi and I wanted to air them down to 20 psi I could close the dump valve, set the regulator to 20 psi...

    Manual CTIS Conversion for M-1078

I like the water fording idea, I would revert back to the inflation mode and hold the axles at the same pressure as the tires while in the water.
