New Supercharged and Intercooled HMMWV kits!

Pretty sure this went into the abyss, just like the previously promised BMI turbo kit for CUCVs.

Anyone installed the Restomod Air aftermarket AC?

That's the plan... just cant find a good bracket system without having something custom made. I've seen several guys zip tie it down, but I don't trust that as far as I can throw it.

Anyone installed the Restomod Air aftermarket AC?

Yeah at $5k now, I bowed out. I think we’re going with a cold master 22k BTU dual evaporator kit… just can’t figure out a clean way to mount the condenser to the stack yet.

    M1123 Radio Tray Brackets

Does anyone still sell the bracket that goes between the cowl/dash and the radio tray for the M1123 or are classifieds or fleabay the only source?

Mounting H1 AC Condenser vs Universal Coldmaster Condenser

According to HPG, it appears a factory H1 AC condenser may mount up to the cooling stack on the HMMWV. Can anyone here confirm? Still trying to resolve how to install AC hidden in our center console without adding dual fender condensers. Options thus far: 1. Keep the radio rack and center...

ProTecht compatibility with older Red Dot evaporator?

Does anyone know if the Red Dot ProTecht diagnostic units can be added to older model Red Dot evaporators, or if they only work with certain models? Will Red Dot even provide literature on older units?

Anyone installed the Restomod Air aftermarket AC?

Has anyone here successfully installed this system? Any fitment issues, does it cool well, etc.? I posted a similar question on one of the Facebook forums about a year ago and all I heard was "the kit is crap" and "install is a pain" with no real data, photos, or backup for any of those...

AC options vs heater repair in M1123

I was referring to the whole heater assembly with blower. Mac Motors has it for $956 which is the best I’ve found. They also appear to have the best price on the core only at $382, but my heater housing is rusted clean through.

AC options vs heater repair in M1123

Do you know if those are the newer style rear fender kits or the ones that mount on the rear curtain? I couldn’t tell from photos. My best bet may be to just buy the inside and outside components I already sold for the rear curtain and connect to my existing compressor.

AC options vs heater repair in M1123

My housing has been rigged together with caulking and rivets by a previous owner. I think I’d destroy it to undo what they did and get the core in it unfortunately.

AC options vs heater repair in M1123

I would need the rest of a system first. Sold the rest of our Red Dot components when we converted to 4 door config. In retrospect, I should’ve just fixed what needed fixing and extended the hoses to our new steel rear curtain. Would’ve been ALOT cheaper. Good to know one unit holds up...

AC options vs heater repair in M1123

Have a bad heater core on our 1123 and have been debating between replacing the entire core and blower assembly that HPG sells ($1,300 ouch!) or installing the Restomod Air kit…. Which is even more $$$! Have heard some love the Restomod kit and others hated it and told me it was junk. Looked...

CTIS Cover Bolts 7/16-13 vs 7/16-14?

The parts manual calls out 7/16-13 bolts for the outside of the geared hubs where you would mount CTIS covers or the rear brackets. See part 36 in the photo. I've misplaced some of ours and can find 7/16-14 all day long but haven't located any in 13 TPI. Was this a HMMWV specific specialty...

    Must Have's for New Deuce?

Great info. Thank you. The 11.00R20 was our original preference, but when we found the Waterloo power steering kit discontinued, Boyce appears to be the only option, and they claim to require their custom wheel for clearance. Not sure we have an option, IF we want power steering. Trying to...

    Must Have's for New Deuce?

What is the consensus on 900 vs 1100 vs 395 tires? Some say the larger units eat bearings and brakes. If you stay with 900s or 1100's is power steering really necessary. Waterloo doesn't sell their kit anymore so it looks like Boyce is the only source these days.
