Found this kit, which is intriguing. Pre-made bracket and hoses, mounts underneath the truck but tucked above the frame rail. Link and pics below.

Thank you, that confirms what I thought about the SCA additive. I've just never seen so much sediment in a system before and after the cost of a radiator, new heater, water pump and hoses, I figured a simple water filter would be cheap insurance.
Considering installing a coolant filter head on our M1123 after seeing how filthy the system was, in an attempt to keep the new heater core and radiator in better shape long term. Is there a consensus on which hoses to intercept for such a setup? Is there any advantage or disadvantage to using...
I guess the only advantage there is you keep both batteries balanced vs pulling off the rear battery alone for the radios? Wasn’t aware you could run the Victron in parallel though… good to know if I really ever need that much more power. I have heard about guys running a separate Victron to...
I’ve considered one of the slave plug inverters, but then I’d have to run a power supply to get back to 12V. Also considered just charging the 12V LifePo battery in the radio box with a low amp 12V circuit instead of powering the radios with the truck.
Trying to work through how to wire in some Anderson Power Poles to power a portable shack in a box style ham/gmrs radio setup. I’ve heard the generally accepted maximum 12V draw off the rear battery is about 10amps so that’s out of the question. The box will have its own internal battery and...
Assuming you could just jumper between both 24V terminals in that setup? That would get the exact function I was looking for back on board. Thanks for all the help!
Just the reverse override switch and corresponding LED indicator are 24V. Everything else is powered through an Orion converter and run at 12V. They can build all 24V panels though.
I didn't think about using a SPDT with the load on the center terminal instead. I guess I would either lose the LED indicator above the switch, or it would illuminate whenever the truck goes into reverse AND when the override switch was thrown when wiring a SPDT that way? Right now, the...
It was around $400 with all the switches and wiring. I lost my marbles and went overkill on wiring and switching. Most of the circuits run back to an S-Tech Switch Systems relay panel under the passenger seat.
I designed and spec'd the panel but had New Wire Marine build it because of all the etching. The etched lettering is all backlit in green fiber optic, and the green LED indicators above each switch light when each switch is closed. Also added a blackout 12v voltage gauge to the left to monitor...
I was wondering if I was overthinking it, but seeing your line of thought makes me think I wasn't.
I wondered about back feeding and the last thing I want to do is cook any wiring in this panel. The only purpose of the switch though would be to activate the reverse lamps manually every now and...
In the process of installing the Black Dog Customs reverse light harness activated by a switch added to the shifter assembly to power some round ambulance style reverse lights, but would also like to be able to manually activate the reverse lights via switch. I've seen a diagram somewhere...
