Just got offered a WC-1 Truck

Sounds easy when you say it like that! I know it'll be easier than a classic car with complicated interiors and glossy paint and all. Should be an adventure! Any of the reproduction manuals and better than the others?

Just got offered a WC-1 Truck

So I sold my M923A2 and was thinking I was out of the OD green thing for a while. Even went and bought a new side by side ATV. Then a friend offered me a Dodge Power Wagon pick-up truck. I thought it was a civi model which is pretty cool. It's a project, but ran when parked 2 years ago...you...

    DMV asked for FMVSS proof..

Get the SF-97, it will be so much easier. An ISP VIN investigator basically told me it wasn't going to happen without one. I got one of the first batches of trucks from GP. They weren't going to issue SF-97 because there was no year of manufacture stamped on the dash plate. They finally got...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

I've got another O-ring that needs replaced on a wheel, apparently. Have a slow leak. I've been starting the truck every weekend to keep batteries topped off, CTIS would keep the tire up as well. Today the CTIS would not come on. I noticed the air pressure would just hit 120 PSI, then...

    Joining the 5 ton club.

You seem to have a Mustang infestation there! Awesome! What I wouldn't give for a shop like that, let alone the contents!! My gal is 5' with her hair done-up. She loves to drive the M923 (after I literally boost her up to get in). Gotta love the "honk", especially when some poor...

M925A2 Trailer Made From M923A1 Truck

Great project! I would love to have the knowledge and means to do something like that.

Ouch! yeah, I wouldn't let that out of my sight!

M939 CTIS Reprogram, Anybody Done It?

It would be awesome to be able to get one of those cables. Would seem to be a must have for anyone with CTIS if they could be produced for a reasonable amount.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Great to hear! Hope you have nothing but fun with her.

    Fried Alternator?

Yup it fried. Odd, it seems these things come in waves. Lots of recent posts on this. I guess they are all about the same age though. Seems like if you have a m939, you will be replacing an alternator.

Disabling the 5-Ton Front Axle Auto-Locking-In-Low-Range Device.

Mine came like that from the Gov't.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

My truck leaked from those hoses when I got it. Had 1 broken clamp and the others were loose. Kind of a pain being able to see them, more or less repaired by feel on those.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Got the new 21Si alternator installed.

    M925A2 Delco Style Alternator

The alternator is part number 90-01-4152. I paid $197 plus a $33 core charge. It does not have Delco Remy on the back of it. It is a Reman unit. Got it all hooked up today before the snow started to fly. Everything went in fine. I ended up not needing to extend any wires. It puts out...

    M925A2 Delco Style Alternator

Slowly gathering up the parts to get everything back together. Got the Cummins bracket and painted it. I made up a lower bracket to keep the stock sized belt. I couldn't find the exact size steel bar. Stock is 5/16" thick. I was given a piece that is 1/4". I imagine it will be plenty...
