I'll be heading out tonight after work, might be kinda late, but I got my OD green quad allready loaded into the back of my truck. Not bringing any military trucks to leak fuel out of the hydraulic head all the way from fairfield to haspin this year, or any trucks that seize up clutches on...
I'm down friday to sunday, unless I have to work second shift that weekend, don't have a truck to bring, only my OD green Honda foreman ATV, it's close enough to a military machine for me!
I sure did, but not that it really matters anyway, the plug that I thaught was leaking, wasen't. turns out that the only leaks I have are the Crack above the plug, and the lines for Cyl. 3 and 6 @ the HH. But it starts up just fine, and drives like nothing is wrong. Just makes a mess wherever it...
Well, I just found out tonight that the IP I put on over the weekend developed a crack in the Hydraulic head, and the injection lines for cyl.s 3 and 6 are dribbling all over the pump. but I allready decided to take the ****it approach and just drive it as it is. It still runs like a *****ape...
They sure do. If you want to know how to do it, you can either look up on another thread, TM, or I can tell ya how to do it on this thread when I get home. That is, if my truck makes it home, HaHa.
Found the problem. there is a crack in the HH right above the hex plug. ****, so much for that new injection pump I just put in. Oh well. It probobly isin't a good Idea, but I guess I'll just clean up and head home in defeat. anyone able to help on anything else?
Ok, learned some more. when I take that plug out, and try running the truck, it starts fine. if I shut it off, put the plug in and tighten it down, it won't start. weird.
Ok, heres what I learned. It won't start even after 30 seconds of cranking, even after contenuing for several minutes (between 30 second intervals). It will start with a small shot of ether, and run like nothing was wrong. So once I got it running, I pulled it into the shop and commenced...
I drove my truck to work so I could adjust the valves and fix a fuel leak before going to haspin. I shut it off when I got there, and less than 5 min. later, I went back out, and I coulden't get it to start. I don't have time to look through threads now, but I'm going to have to stay after at...
Awesome to hear man, My injection pump swap went good too, but I just found fuel leaks. This is why I hate mondays. Oh well, I was planning on adjusting the valves anyway, and I'll do some leak fixin' too. Glad yours went excelently though!
I just finished swapping mine yesterday, got it all in time and running right. what exactly do you want to know? I think it was TM 9-2320-361-24-1 pages 617-625 that helped me out with mine. But feel free to ask me whatever you want to know.
Ok, So I finnaly got my M35A2C running and driving again today, so it will be there. It's a greasy oily mess, still needs little things done here and there, and I need to take the insurance off hold. But at leist it moves under it's own power now, just gonna baby it a bit till my balls come back...
I live a short distance away, and my freind lives practically around the corner from haspin. How could I not show? Now I may not have my deuce up and going (sorry gimpyrobb, I've been incredibly busy, switching jobs and all, But I really want to get my truck alltogether for haspin, but im out of...
Floridianson: Is there any good time to call? I can't make calls before 3:30 on weekdays, weekends I'm pretty free. I didn't work on the truck today, but will probobly make it over to where the truck is today. And yes, I forgot to line up the timing marks before removing the head, thats my whole...
by the way, I'm talking about the scored tooth, not the loose one that comes out with the shut-off assembly. this is also my first time ever replacing o-rings on a HH.
