Did you ever find the problem freedom? I'm having the exact same issue except the problem perisists even while in gear. The truck starts up and idles correctly (low rpm) but if you press the accelerator, the idle rpms jump to 1200+ and stay there until I kill the truck. It doesn't seem to be a... -

Well I finally bought an m998 from our favorite site. Tell me what you guys think. Got it running easily with some batteries, new key switch and patience. Now to fix all the leaks due to rust. Anyone have an idea where to pick up an oil cooler for these 6.2 m998s? Nsn 29300116879 part # 19111...
