Is there an easy way to change output from 220 to 440V on the MEP804B

I all fairness, that table is very confusing. The first line says that for 480 you connect H2 and H3, and signifies this with a hyphen between them. The second line for 240 then puts a hyphen between H1H3 and H2H4, seeming to say to connect those pairs together! Instead it should have...

    Bad vibration

What am I seeing? It appears to be only an engine. I'd expect the engine to do a lot of shaking if it's not installed in the generator assembly.

    Bad vibration

It's probably normal. The 2-cylinder engines have the pistons going up and down together, so they vibrate a lot more than the 4-cylinder engines like the 803 has. Maybe post a video and the guys here that have 802s can comment.

That's the first use that popped into my head.

    Mep003 voltage drop after 7500w

Most other generators in the world work differently. It's our 002A and 003A generators that use the mag-amp system and can be idled as long as you like without damaging the regulator.

    Mep003 voltage drop after 7500w

If the regulator fails, the generator can still have output, although it's likely to be at a higher voltage than normal. But at least it doesn't cause an immediate power failure.

    Mep003 voltage drop after 7500w

Also note that this debunks the idea that running the engine at a speed below 1800 RPM can damage the regulator. Doing that makes the regulator put out less current to CVT1, which reduces its load.

MEP-003a Charging System - Higher Than Normal

I doubt if there is anything abnormal going on. Maybe your meter is not a true RMS type.

MEP-003a Charging System - Higher Than Normal

If I remember right, the 30-35 VAC is with the stator connected to a working regulator. When open circuited it can get higher. When you measured 0.8 ohms, did you account for the meter lead resistance? Touch the leads together and read the resistance. Then subtract that value from the...

    Oh yes!

When he was young, my son commented that the 003A helped him get to sleep.

    J R Hollingsworth MEP-005A conversion

I don't know much about any generators other than the 002A and 003A.

There's the option of a boost transformer for just the well pump.

What do you plan to power with it? Very often 120/208 is fine for residential use.

    Testing ac VR mep002/003

That's a legitimate way to test it. The same regulators were used in both generators.
