So I talked to the NOCO guys. They say use the 24v regular mode for now. But now that I've been educated on the battery system I will be getting two hawkers ASAP. Will I need to check anything, what could have been damaged by the dissimilar batteries linked together? Also anyone have any...
OK, did some more digging two Hawker HASP-FT and the other two are Exide 6TMF Maintenance Free Lead Acid. The AGM mode on the charger says for cold batteries or AGM, could I not just use the AGM mode on on the charger? would it damage the LEAD ACID ones, until I was able to purchase...
Is it possible the military would have unmatched types of batteries in these trucks? The markings on the batteries show all were replaced in 2015. I was told the front set of batteries were for the 12v system in these trucks, and that is why they are not all the same. The front batteries have...
I just bought a Grisby Truck Company Nato Slave port for a NOCO G26000 genius https://www.grigsbytrucks.com/product/gtc-nato-slave-port-connector-and-smart-charger-combo-kit/ to charge my M1079a1 when not in use. It looks like the front two batteries are Lead acid and the rear two are Hawker...
Would just running the truck for a while give them a good enough charge? The gauges show the alternator is working. I've never had an issue before and the truck is run once a week for an hour. The ABS light is tied to the lack of battery power on start up?
Ok, did not have a ton of time this morning but slaved to the m998 let it run at high idle for 10 min. M1079a1 started right up. but the ABS light stayed on. Drove the truck around a little braking seemed fine. did i just not charge the batteries up enough and still had an issue on...
Batteries are 2015 dated. I don't think it's a voltage issue. After the switch is flipped it doesn't seem like the compressor is doing anything. The ctis is blinking hwy but no activation of the compressor. The alarm for the low brake air pressure does not go off and no dash lights...
The other day I started up my m1079a1 and the air brake alarm wouldn't go off. All the dash light were blinking. And no air pressure showed in either tank. I turned off the truck released all the air from the tanks and tried to start it again. Now the ignition switch flips Dash's lights...
Ok new wrinkle in the problem. After plugging and unplugging the ecu it started to work. Automatically Switching into sand mode. When I pressed hwy it airs the tires back up but both hwy and sand stay lit. Now if you hit the ecu it will go from sand mode or all 5 lights on at once...
