how difficult is it to mount the tires are these one piece rims w/o locking ring?? looks sorta like they are. how much sweat and swearing is involved in getting that HEAVY, stiff sidewall tire onto one piece rims?? I have trouble getting the tires on my bicycle rim.... michael

So, If I were to paint the words "Military Police", backwards, on the rear of a vehicle, that would be against the law?? or ont the front, as one of the earlier pictures shows?? I know so bicycle riders use the word POLITE, instead of POLICE.... just one letter difference

BTW, the raised deuce looks good. From what I can see in the pictures, it appears the frame plates were extended and supported internally. I'd need more details to be sure; but it looks reasonable at first glance. I notice that the driveline looks straighter in one picture. a lot of work for...

I'm wondering how the link arms were made LONGER. mine are cast with rubber bushings in the center.

inter axle disconnects thanks HRD, your reply helps me understand the axle dynamics better. :) as for which of the two rear axles usually does the driving... i suspect it makes no difference to me in the long run. front-rear... rear-rear... as long as i can engage BOTH of them when needed...

i've been searching the web for FM 9-43-2 and no joy. URL's lead to limited access sites which I can't access. despite the fact that I was regular army, army reserve and Air Force Nat'l guard... not all at once, mind you. anybody got a copy of FM 9-43-2.

i know nothing about the various rims available, so I need help. I want the big-old-wide tires on my deuce, but don't know where to start. for the 395/85 r20 tires (or similar) what rims do I need? Will the A3 rims be the right size and fit my existing deuce bolt pattern? or do I need rims...
