I just obtained a '69 ford c700 which I'm told started life as a fuel truck for the military. I assume airforce. It now is a flatbed. The manual shift linkage is crazy to say the least. There isn't much feed back to which gear your in,do to the many ujoints and bushings. I am wondering if anyone...
I haven't seen the one at Hillsboro Ford but I did hear about it. I think it has a z lift dump under the bed. I thought the price on it was something like $15,000. A little to much for my blood. beaubeau you wouldn't happen to have a m101 or m105 trailer you'd like to sell would ya?
I'm still new to the deuce, but it seems that down shifting to second may be worse than taking off in second. If second is only good for say 4 to 8mph, then you should be below that in order to down shift to it right?
Thanks guys.A update from the new guy. I've had my bobbed deuce for about a month. I put a winter front on, winter shifter boots. I've been driving it four out of five days a week to work, I take the long way to get 12 miles each way. I pressure wash it on Sat. mornings to get most of the salt...

5280m35a2, The title of the deuce says '69, from what I've read that may not be accurate. I guess the weather is holding up delivery. If I could get the time off from work I'd go and drive it home. I'll just have to wait.
