Fuel Filters....... Okay, I give up........

If someone is interested, Car Quest has a fuel filter base plate and spin on filter for the primary fuel set up. We us them on our fire dept. deuces and only chang them once a year and run them all year long. If interested I'll post the number - just yell back and I'll pull them from my file...

    Deuce Tips and Tricks!

Try at your own risk: We run 54 deuces on our Fremont County Volunteer Fire Dept. (9,000 + sq. miles of coverage) and use them mostly on wild land fires. These trucks get used and abused. But we come up with a lot of unique fixes and field expediant cures. One is when the steering gear box...

fuel pump in the tank die on the M35a2

Sometimes those things come apart inside the tank but they will work again if you just put all the part back together and peen over the end. We do this all the time with our fire dept. deuces. The check to see if it is working, just put on the switch and open your primary filter petcock(s)...

    Oil Change

We use Rotella 15-40 all year round in our fire trucks here in Wyoming. Of course we have them all in heated garages all the time. But it is a great oil and we get as cold as minus 10 every year and once in awhile we get down to minus 30 or 40 below. In 1979 we were minus 30 for over 30...

    Does everyone have this?

I'll be able to tell you more in a couple of months, after I get back from a fire dept. deuce mechanic school that they will be sending me too. They do several things to this engine before they put them into fire service. Wild Bill

    Dealers of 24volt Accessorie Lights

I have stopped and purchased lights at local truck stops. Also I picked up a 24V light from NAPA that I used as a back-up light. We use them on all our deuce fire trucks. The best place to put a back-up light is on the upper brace for the left rear mud flap. Good hunting. Wild Bill

    New member locator map...

Maybe I missed something, but WHERE IS THE MAP!! How do I get there from here. And how do I get on it. I want on it because I will soon be attending a mechanics school for M35's and after I get out I can give people a hand if they break down. Wild Bill/Wyoming

    Need help updating the website...

I think that member map thing is a good idea. I am always willing to help someone passing through Wyoming, if they have a MV problem. Another idea when someone is broke down in their MV, is check with the local rural fire dept's, as all the one's in Wyoming use MV's. We for instance have...
