Does anyone have a ballpark idea what a 6.5 engine, trans and transfer case all together would weigh?
Thank you

Quick google search for each of those items comes up as roughly 1100 lbs together.
engine roughly 750 lbs
Transmission roughly 250
transfer case about 100

Took a look through my UPS receipts from September. 1250 pounds for 6.5TD, 4L80E and Transfer case on a 4'x8' pallet.
I hope you're not sourcing from Global Parts Auto Group. I did. Never again.

Thanks Bulldogger! Did your drivetrain come on the cut front rail sections? I'm just starting the search for shipper. No I didn't get it from Global Parts, I heard horrible things. I didn't know UPS would do freight.

Yes, it was a torched frame assembly, still bolted on. Had the carrier bearing but rest of front propellor (drive shaft) was cut. Rear shaft also cut. Turbo pipes cut, but half there. Intake missing about half the plumbing. Pretty representative I guess.
uShip isn't bad, but be sure to list that it is palletized (if that is the case) as some shippers may refuse if it's not crated. I had one agree to come and then refused on visual when it wasn't crated. If you list with uShip, lowball the bid, as they want you to "guess" and it's funny but all the bids are close to your guess... Also, let the bid run 3-4 days, more bids will come in. The first few bids are automated, and you'll get the personalized small-business ones a littel later as the humans catch up.
UPS was reliable, but no less hassle and on the pricey side by the end. I shipped another dead motor using a low bidder from uShip and had no issues.

Best of Luck!

They re-used my front shaft half and I bought a new rear shaft from AMG. Had to swap the rear U joint off my old rear shaft to use with my older differential (spline count), but it worked ok. https://genuinehumveeparts.com/ (My HMMWV is a 1987, FYI, so plenty of parts on it don't work with what AMG sells now. But all have been adaptable for the most part.)
