HMMWV REV 1152A1 Serp Belt replacement

Hi Gentlemen,

I have a 2009 Turbo Ecv Rev 1152A1 truck and I'm looking to replace the old serpentine belt. I've looked at the TM but it's kind of unclear to me how to change it with the gear fan drive in the way. What is the best way to go about this?

Remove 6 bolts on one end if the gfd’s driveshaft.

no, you remove the 4 15mm bolts on the harmonic balancer, slide the CV joint forward.

Same result. 2 less bolts. I dont recall getting grease on anything when i did the 6 bolt way.

same result, but one takes 3 times longer…

Thank you for the feedback, guys. Will try the 4 bolts on the balancer. Had that assumption just wanted to confirm it slides forward.

Happy to report all went well with the belt change. Removed the 4 15mm bolts on the harmonic balancer and slid the gear fan drive forward enough to slide belt through. Thank you for your help! Saved me some money!
