Anyone know where one can get a well priced radiator and fan for a 6.5 Turbo, M1165A1, with 256000 serial?

$395 "as is" ??, would not be the worst deal if I could inspect and pick from a large pile.
As a side bar the local Rad. shop told me when I took one in to be cleaned that the EPA has done away with being able to "boil out" a radiator.
I can't remember the last time I had one boiled out there, maybe 5-7 years but I have been dealing with them for 23 years and have not ever thought they were not 100% up front and honest.

With no disrespect intended:

Without testing and "as-is" is a big problem. Because of this AS-Is crap, I will probably recore mine.

At the VERY LEAST, Easter Surplus could EASILY take each unit and pressure test in a vat of water. Takes 2 minutes, cheap tools and a vat of water, and for $400 it would be appropriate. Any junkyard selling a radiator does this as a minimum, so why can't Eastern Surplus?

Yes, IF and I mean IF (has not been vetted) you cannot get them boiled out anymore than what? you spray some "stuff" in there? re-core or new would be a better option...

You realize any of us can boil out a radiator with warm water, a little dilute plumbers acid, and a chemical resistant hand drill operated liquid pump?

I even wonder if Pepsi soda pop or table vinegar will also work.

Maybe but what they used to use looked like pure evil, it looked like a good place to get rid of the mother-in law, weren't no fizzy soda in there...

I've been working with Champion the last month or two to get an aluminum aftermarket replacement in production for the ECVs. They are currently building the prototype, and should be in production shortly after the prototype passes. Unfortunately that may not help you now, but help is on the way. I'll update this thread again when I get further info on production dates.

Champion finally has them listed on their website. You can either search for ECV or go directly here...
