Hi guys. I purchased a 2008 6.5l v8 military Humvee. Unfortunately the only test that I did not perform when I was purchasing was checking to see if there was coolant

This is where it gets complicated. I drove my Humvee for 30 miles. I didn't hear any clicking or knocking. Engine seem to be performing wonderfully. I noticed that my temperature gauge wasn't working

Let me start first saying that the oil was just changed by the guy I bought it from it looked very clean. I started to pour in antifreeze. When I got to the 4th gallon milky oil started pouring out of an oil pan gasket leak. And when I say pouring it was pouring. I had not yet even started the truck after pouring in antifreeze. If I didn't have an oil pan leak without a doubt my coolant system would have been full of milky oil as well. What are your best guesses?

You can take heads off and have them checked for cracks but the amount of fluid in your oil pan screams major failure.

I am afraid you will be waisting time and $ before determining you need a total replacement

I don't know the full story but someone who sold you a vehichle with fresh oil and no coolant plus a non working temp gauge shouts fraud and con job.
