Broken fuel tank

I dropped the tank to check the pickup screen and found the buffer box around the pickup was broken loose , anyone else have this issue ?

I've seen multiple posts here and the facecrook groups over the years about the baffle coming loose.

I would clean it up good, scuff both surfaces with coarse grit sandpaper and reattach it with some quality fuel proof RTV

Same thing here on a brand new tank a few years ago. Took it out and round canned it. Felt it would be more trouble to glue it back in as the poly plastic IMO has been hard to get a STRONG bond. So the fuel slooshesssss around.

Sloshing fuel is a very bad thing at low tank. Air in fuel can cause stalled engine at speed.

I would absolutely repair.
