Hi All,

I recently bought a 2002 M1123 that had the deep water fording kit on it. When they did the de-mil they removed the PCV so there is a hose coming off of the oil fill neck that goes to nothing now. It seems to run fine without the PCV but if I replace it will I see an increase in performance and does it hurt the engine in any way to run it without the PCV?

Any advice is appreciated!

Welcome to the forum.

Yes, you are running a great chance of sucking foreign material into the crankcase. Slim, but catastrophic if/when it happens... The replacement is relative cheap for around $60, or $70 for the DWF style with extra port (to nowhere unless you reinstate the entire system).

Best of luck, keep us updated on any progress.

Thanks! That is some very sounds advice and I'll order that valve today!
