Well you should change the filter dryer for sure if it lost charge, but the hole in the compressor could be patch welded...pull a vacuum on it and see what you have, if it holds...then put a Nitrogen charge in and see if it holds.....then, then start to think about putting some 407c in...

They said i could charge it and probably run it for a while but that oil would be contaminated with water and create acid. so at this point the Generator may come off the trailer and scrap the rest. We shall see what i decide to do.

Did these HVAC Techs then offer to than the whole sad thing off your hands for trivial payment?

Any creative advice for repair of broken heater elements? Several broken from the outlet cover flapping in the wind.

So I bought 3 units with the same issue. They actually drill a hole in the radiator coil for the auxiliary coolant heat in front of the condenser. This drains all the coolant out of the system. I actually used solder for that fix because its not pressured like an AC system. They drilled a hole in the same area on all mine. I replaced the compressor on the 1st unit but the rest I welded them up. All have run for over a year and they have around 500-1000 hours on them. Dont give up.

I have maybe 20+ Nordic air ECUs and none of them have been drilled like yours have. Most have been drained and some had their service ports left open. I just vac them out and fill, and they function 75% of the time. Meaning 1 of 4 have some sort of issue that's not worth fixing. Mine are r22 but the newer ones are 407c.

Ok going to revive this thread. After being disappointed by the price of that compressor going up to 1900 dollars i was about to just pull the generator off. but i ended up on the GP auction buying 3 new Compressors so i will be getting back on this and hopefully have cool air to work on other projects. I love how that mitsubishi sounds starting up so i have at least had that to enjoy on maintenance runs.

Hvac tech and I came up with a plan of attack over the weekend. hopefully this might be back up and running next weekend if things go well. Boy i need AC to work on anything right now its so humid. I can post a wanted ad but will definitely need the supply and return ducts for this unit if someone has them. i will pull the part number/NSN when i get home and start looking for them.

Good Day: Tent stuff is also in the manuals for the system. I attached manuals the TM used to derived from. Hope it helps. On the compressor, you can MIG weld that case. Then test it if it runs and they did not drill into anything to determine if a repair is worth it. They are supposed to connect a reclaimer to a tank using the service valve connections as the EPA loves to fine the individual just releasing refrigerant at $125,000 a pop. R 407 has an EPA run out date and I can look it up but that takes a while. The military has a current letter authorizing them to use certain things because of replacement time lags, maintenance times, budget but they also must conform in the shortest time. I have some info on the ECU if required.

So reading the manual and understanding the Aux heat system on the ECU the small stanless tank just take antifreeze correct? the manual stated to use what was on 0180 item x but no such thing exist in the manual from Poccur manual only goes 135 and then skips to 185

Still waiting on my HVAC to get this thing fixed but in preparation. I bought a couple of new 12" flex pipes. I know the stock ones are 16" but its tough to find them. Anybody see a big issue with putting reducers on and just going with the 12". I know lower flow but it seems more reasonable of a solution at this point.
