Hi, I'm currently putting together the equipment I want to install inside. I'm looking for inspiration on how to arrange it - hence this post.
Please post photos of your interiors hmmwv where you have installed radio stations, VIC intercoms, blue force trackers, and other stuff.

If you have any photos showing how and where the components should be installed (according to some TM?), please post them as well.

I recall a sony Boom Box Bungeed to the dash....
Interestingly we were Comm oriented and did not have radios installed in our HMMWVs, they were in a couple rucks.
an LST-5B and a PRC-113 and their attendant Comsec gear, a little DMSE satcom antenna and a Donkey Dick on the 113.
Back then we didn't have intercoms either... Ah to be able to hear again...

PRC-77 and PRC-126..

Have since added anAN/4979-A Loudspeaker. I have a 6747 that is brand new that I plan to swap in place of the 4979 that is kinda beat up.
and a Diplexer so I can run 3 Radios off two antennas in the same Frequency range.
I do have a Harris Antenna that I can also run a UHF radio on.
Also re-cabled the RF antenna leads because Demil sawzalled the brackets and cut the cables in about 25 places.

I’m needing to install a Vic-3 in my m1151. Does anyone have pics of where the rear boxes mount and cable routing? Any good install pics would be helpful.

Technically the 1151 is supposed to have a vic lite master control box and 2 of the 2 headset boxes, 1 in front and 1 in back. However I like the single headset boxes because you can individually turn off the radio (I have Bluetooth running through my vic3)and just have intercoms. Here’s some pics of mine. (Rear pic is when I was building the rear wall) Cables just run up the side. I’ll take pics tomorrow of cable routing. I have the Vic lite control box mounted on the tray laying flat

Thanks for the pics and clarification on what “should” be in there. Now that I have a visual reference it makes more sense.
That is one bad ass rig you have!!

Not being one who sticks to convention, since we didn't actually have vehicle mounted radios I "Winged" it with my personal setup. I have an Android tablet running ATAK and Cal Topo. my Cell Phone cradle, I have the single PRC-126 mount and I can put the PRC-77 on the lower deck. Also have an Aviation interphone in there may switch that out to a VIC-3 Lite at some point 4 place at this time, along with GA headsets. with adaptations to operate with the Military Radios. added a loudspeaker a wireless keyboard and a trackball mouse...

One question.
Where are the pics? :)


My setup is still in progress...
I am waiting for:
- 2nd antenna (VHF)
- VIC master unit power cable
- Highway cable
- Loud speaker power cable
- Cable to connect loudspeaker with Harris
- "shelf"

After completing the first phase, the next step will be to attempt to find and add the BFC set and intercom expansion set for rear.
