Strange hood latches?

Check out these hood latches,they are on the GPW I just bought(DOD-6-26-42).I've got no idea what they're off of, any ideas<img src="emoticons/icon_smile_question.gif" alt="Question"></font id="blue">

My 1947 & 1950 Minneapolice-Moline farm tractor has latches just like that. they sold a lot of power units to the government over the years. infact I am looking to buy 4 of them thats whey I looked at yours.

The windshield hold down latches on an M-37 look identical to that.
