    Big Boy GMC home

Finally arrived today! It's a GMC 7000 wrecker so a little different than the regular mil wreckers. Have not had a chance to go through it, but looks to be in good shape all original and basically unused. Special thanks to all the Idaho members who offered to help me with loadout - I really...

    Anyone in Boise Idaho

Well - I am still waiting. The guys from GSA were really friendly and gracious enough to give me an extra week to get the truck out of their lot. I have someone lined up after the first shipper had engine trouble and bailed. Hopefully everything will work out. Will keep you all posted...

    Foers winch system (mid mount)

Center mounted winches with front and rear fairleads are pretty common in european trucks ie MAN. The twist here is that it looks like he is using a double line pull front and rear via a snatch block to keep from having to rethread the cable along the frame. Usually in the MAN you just pull...

    Anyone in Boise Idaho

Thank you guys - I am hoping the 10 days they give you to remove stuff will be enough time. From previous posts I guess they are pretty strict about this - sure appreciate some options if I get stuck. Cody

    Anyone in Boise Idaho

If anyone is in Boise and has some yard space please give me a shout. Have a truck at GSA I have to get out and the clock is ticking. If I get down to the wire without transport sure would appreciate a place to have her towed to until I can arrange a ride.

    what is this

Interestingly, what I had thought was the only prototype had OTK06 on the front - yours is OTK05. I'll bet there were at least 6 prototypes of which this is number 5. If so you should find exactly what Ron said as standard equipment.

    what is this

Cool truck. The body is a MAN KAT1. Originally these came with a deutz air cooled diesel. I always thought there was only one prototype made for the PLS program and that one is restores and in Canada. Would be interesting to see what's under the cab. Post some more detailed pics!

    Help sourcing a HEMTT cab

The MK48 and HEMTT cabs are different. The MK48's are on GL all the time. NOS one on CO last year for $200. Keep looking until you find a good one at the right price. I would be interested in the N10 you have - How did you get that in the country - I didn't think they met EPA?

Who paid the $39K for the 915 in Ft. Smith

Just the jeep alone would go for close to 49K if it is as good as it looks.

The shirwin williams industrial stores has real CARC - the regular stores won't know what you are talking about.. I haven't purchased any in a couple of years, but it was not too expensive and it is exactly what you need. Just follow the directions and ventilate well and it should be fine job...

Refurbishing a fuel tank - advice wanted

TJ - I have tried the POR 15 method and was very happy with the results. I had a fair amount of surface rust inside a Ingersoll-Rand diesel compressor tank. I pressure washed it first then gave it a try. It has worked well and that was several years ago. I think the ideal way to deal with...
