ok last week we ran it out of fuel . Changed the filters and got it running. For some reason it wont rev over 1700 in gear or out. It sounds smooth and not smoking

Im sure i have not . I am new to diesel and have no guidance. Would you be so kind as to tell where to find said screw and a brief procedure. The fire department want to use it this thursday in a parade and i dont want to cancel on them . The filters look clean.
1990 Harsco M923A2 . I did take it for a drive after I refilled it and no better. I may have used the wrong fluid. I bought power steering fluid. I wonder if this to thin . I am learning to read these technical manuals here so I am gonna check that next. The leak is a slow drip and I will fix it...
My power steering stopped working . Found the system nearly empty on fluid. Added fluid and still no power steering. I did find the leak at a fitting on my steering box so i will need to replace this line. What must i do to restore my steering until I replace the line ?
Ok I just looked at some photos of the valve stem and I can see that this is a flare fitting that has broken and the whole fitting must be replaced hence i need to remove the wheel . Sounds like fun is ahead.
Its the outside part of the line . The rubber line connects to the valve stem and it broke the threaded part of the stem off inside the air line. So can the short side be unscrewed from the fitting that goes into the the rim?
