I would agree..
Even air brake control valves are going composite, so AC either has done their job in designing this, or they have really high limits on their product liability..

I just found the other thread you mentioned, thanks. It appears that cutting and welding one of these would be no problem to make one fit next to the stock tank.
I recall my old Chevy K-10 pickup having an electric valve switch that would let me select between tanks. I'll have to see if that...
I would love to hear from someone who has done this. aua
My tape measure tells me there is not enough room on the right side to run two stock tanks. I'd like to avoid carrying extra diesel in Nato cans if possible.

I have gone the same route as Derrickl112, and have added the led bulbs to the stock housings.
Does anyone have a resource for the replacement lenses and gaskets for the stock armored clearance lights?

I am in Gardnerville with a 1994 M1078. No problem at DMV. They couldn't wait to take my money. Get a trip permit and they will direct you aound the back for an inspection in Carson City..

I bought this from a private party in...

I am down in Gardnerville with a LMTV. I have spent the last year driving it, and going over all the mechanicals to get the bugs out (this, after driving it home from Philadelphia last winter). Feel free to PM me and come down for a spin. I have had it up in some gnarly sierra trails and...

Cat recently closed their service department in Reno, NV (Cashman Equipment).
I am still looking for a mechanic who knows how to 'power up' my 3116..

Couldn't find anything in the search on this, so here goes. aua
Has anyone upgraded their marker lights to LED's, like the later model 1078's? If so where did you find them?
Thanks in advance!
