There is a difference between shouldn't be done and can't be done. But like gimpy said done is done and no harm was done. So hats off to ya and nice score for your dad he got a great looking truck. Just remember how it felt coming home so you know next time not to push your vehicle to hard. We...
Sorry to hear about your horse Tim. Red looks like it's coming along really well. Colton looks like he's having fun cutting that rocker panel. I'm looking to get a Mutt for my son and I to work on for his first car. I hope he enjoys building it as much as Colton looks like he is.
Thanks for the info Tim. I don't like to borrow or let people borrow from me, my dad "loaned" a guy a very expensive hunting bow many years ago when he asked for it back the guy said no. My dad got the police and court involved and he lost the bow just from the guy saying "he let me borrow it...
I'll be a maybe depending on tires and work, tires more then work I'm saving up for a new set the ones on here are pretty bad so making the 60 mile trip to OKC might do them in. She's running like a top though I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. :grd:
Lol I'm not sure I love driving the M715 around and the funny looks I get But I'm itching to get my hands on another project. I need something to keep me busy or I'm going to drive my wife nuts. :grd:
Sounds like a strap or fab is going to be the best route to go then. I don't plan to move the jeep that far or that much to substantiate buying something that pricey....
Gonna be a while before I can drive it it's been setting for a long time and it needs a lot of tlc but that's counting my chickens before they hatch. I've not been able to get a hold of the owner as of yet but I have a good feeling about this little jeep.
Harbor fright would be a civilian tow bar with a bar hitch mount? I was looking for a military tow bar cause my M715 only has a pintle hitch and it's the only vehicle I have that would be able to tow anything.
OK I can see that happening if you towed it around to much or wanted to pull it behind an RV on a trip but that would be any and all vehicles. I was looking for m151 specific problems and what type of tow bar would be best. The only tow bars I've found were intended for the CUCV and bigger MVs...
Care to elaborate on that? What are the problem points on flat towing it? Although it would only be towed right at a mile to get it from where it is now. But if I wanted to tow it later on I'd like to know things like this.
I've been looking at getting a Mutt and I was wondering what would be the best tow bar to get. I'd be using my M715's pintle hitch to tow it around and home nothing major just something to move it around and I don't want to use a strap or chain. I've tried looking around a bit but I figured...
I would do a good sanding and then a rustreformer type job on them you want the inside as smooth as possible even something small in there can where through a tube, although the liner should help there but better safe then sorry IMHO
