Can anyone reccomend a frame attached commercial hitch that I can mount to my M1008. I'd prefer to bolt one on as opposed to welding, and I'm wanting one that leaves room for the spare tire. Any feedback is much appreciated.

I love the looks I get, as mine is totally decked out with troop seats cargo racks and 2 antenna. I live 20 min north of a very democratic and liberal green loving mountain town. If anyone ever complains, I can say; hey look it's green too.

If it does'nt have a printed circuit board then buy me a new one so you can take my old one and tear/discombobulate the copper connecter points with some bad screw in bulbs.:cookoo:

The m116a2 has surge brakes and only weighs I believe 750 lbs + or -. A little other point about the m101a2 is that they can easily be made to act as a dump trailer.

m116a2 Have you considered towing a M116a2 generator trailer they have less steel, so less weight, and have bows and sometimes a cover which one can see easily in reverse. You could easily attach plywood to the sides for hauling goods ect.. They're have been photos showing M116a2's as campers...

So how are you gonna fill the other tank as there isnt a hole on that side of the m1008 ?

I just picked up 2 trailers down in Fla. A 1960 Pioneer Tool Trailer and a M116a2 generator trailer. The guys at the Richloam Rally helped to stack the two for my 12 hour drive back to NC. Not a problem towed great , and passed many an officer without a batting of an eye. __________________
