Also don't trust the temp sensor for the trans. Both of my Hemtts show 190-200 on the gauge but if I use a laser thermometer they show 170-180. I use the laser often to check.

Take the panel off on the inside of the door. There is a series of cables inside with adjusters. Tighten the slack out of the loose cable. This has happened on my m983(sold) and my current m977. It's easy.
