Behr Paint Jobs- Show me your MV's

I am really looking forward to seeing if that matches up better than what I have been able to come up with. I need it in semi-gloss for my M135. Here are my attempts at matching 24087 in post #14 and #18. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?124761-Is-this-23070/page2

Behr Paint Jobs- Show me your MV's

Is this a picture of the 24087 that HD mixed up? It looks much more green than what they did for me. Could you post up a picture of the paint code they put on top of the can so I can get a sample to try? I like the color of your Jeep!

    New M211 owner

Welcome to the group. A little TLC and that truck will look great! If you decide you want a military bed, I think the M35A2 bed is nearly identical to the M211 one. Show us the engine and inside of the cab when you get a chance.

    1952 M135 W/Winch

Thank you. I had to use a combination of 2 G749 airpaks and 1 M809 airpak to make this one. I do have a few good parts left over, so if you are looking for something after you tear into yours, let me know.

    1952 M135 W/Winch

I finished my airpak rebuild and got it, all new front brake hoses and the new master cylinder installed today. Bled everything and took the truck for a short run down the street. What a huge improvement in braking!!! I only have the front brakes hooked up at the moment to sort out that wheel...

Wow! Where did you find that?! Do you mind saying what you paid for it? I just finished my airpak rebuild this evening using the 5 ton rebuild kit and piston conversion. I sure hope it works.

Yes, the second picture is the under side of the dome. I don't understand the function either. I see no way for air to vent or anything.

Metal Magnets's M211 teardown and future rebuild.

Don't over do it. Take time to rest and get better. I spent this evening helping out a friend who injured himself by lifting things a person should not lift. No progress on my truck today. We need you on here... so stay healthy. Would be neat to find out if your place had a secret purpose...

    1952 M135 W/Winch

I see. I should probably leave things original since it was designed with a purpose and nothing is wrong with the original cap. I just thought this would make checks and refill easier. Here are some pictures of the plastic cap.

The black cap doesn't have any sort of vent and is not a dust cap. The under side of it below the threads has a dome that swivels somewhat, but that is all. The inside of the metal extension is threaded inside the large diameter part as well as in the small hole that the original cap and vent...

    1952 M135 W/Winch

I am finally back to work on the truck. The airpak is almost completely reassembled and the new master cylinder is bench bled and ready to go on. All new brake lines for the front are ready to be installed as well. I'm still trying to sort out the earlier mentioned wheel cylinder issue and am...

Open the distributor cap and test the different points mentioned in that troubleshooting part. You'll find out real quick what is wrong. Most of those parts are inexpensive and can be found at Memphis Equipment, Alfa Heaven, etc. I had a condensor go out a while back and found it was the problem...

    " 1952 GMC M135-Old Reliable"

I just scanned a copy of the wiring diagram for the truck and the troubleshooting steps for the distributor into a pdf, but for some reason can't upload it. I think they have been having some issues with the site because I have been able to upload in the past. PM me your email and I'll send it...

    " 1952 GMC M135-Old Reliable"

Welcome to the forum! There is indeed a lot of maintenance to do on these old trucks. A copy of TM9-8024 will be very valuable to you as you learn your new truck. The TM can be found at Portrayal Press and sometimes on Ebay. The brake system always seems to be an issue with these trucks if not...

I sure hope your aren't leaving us hanging like this with no pics!!! :-D

    1952 M135 W/Winch

I just noticed those amber lights mounted on the front fenders of all three of those trucks. Is that a Canadian Military thing? Just markers, turn signals or both?

    frame identification number

4179 would be your VIN. I am curious what the other numbers mean too. I found these numbers stamped on the top of the bumpers of my parts trucks. The numbers beginning in 411 are the military hood registration numbers, but I have no idea what the others are. I don't like the idea of having a...
