Not to step on anyone's toes, but Jefferson City lists on Gov't Liquidation occasionally and I hear the stuff coming out of there is pretty decent. Thats on my end of the state and I would be happy to pick something up and meet you half way with it.
hate to say it but my pet rabbit aka Steve Mcqueen does all that and is litter trained haha, he rides along and sometimes goes to work with me and keeps the office girls busy haha:razz:
I guess thats true, ive made plenty of homemade trailers, mostly to mount competition meat smokers on. Good call on that. I'll look into it, would anyone be interested in a custom say 18-20' low flatbed like that? If i use second hand steel from the mill in St. Joseph MO i bet i could make it...
well the search continues. does anyone know of a trailer that i can use on the duece without modifying it much? I used to weld professionally so i can modify a flatbed, but i just dont need a full semi style trailer for one car...
I can only afford one for $200. Im training as a Deisel mechanic at Universal Technical Institute and have wanted one of these since I was 2 years old! So if anyone looks at GL's Iowa auctions and sees one for 1 bid at 200 dollars, ya try to skip it haha thanks! :-D
wow thats heavier than it looks then, i was just interested in using it to haul my car back from college with my stuff in the back of the deuce. An Abrams huh? sounds like ill just have to get one! :-D
Here is part of the ad from GL. I hope this is made to mount up to a deuce because it will work better for me than a cargo trailer.
US ARMY M106A1 5 TON 4 WHEEL MULTI PURPOSE FLAT BED TRAILER, MANU BY UTILITY TOOL AND TRAILER, PARKING BRAKES INCLUDED, RETRACTABLE SUPPORT FEATURE INCLUDED...
Does anyone know where to find that info about no plates as long as its in the vehicle for Missouri residents? I wonder if its the same or not, I hope so!
Glendale Heights IL here, i dont have a deuce yet either, im a deisel mechanic from universal technical institute. So if you need some help with a recovery lemme know! text or call and leave a message at 816-588-6932
im workin on getting a deuce soon, keep this stuff around for a while, i know its a bother, but i should be getting a truck in a few weeks, then ill hit you up for the oil! Thanks guys!
I would rather have you get stuck with a ticket than see another video on YouTube of a M101 coming loose and killing a family of four or something like that. Bad things happen when equipment is neglected... :|
