Yes, there was a gasoline engine...the REO/Continental OA331 inline 6-cylinder engine was originally in the first runs of those trucks. The Military swapped out many for the LD-427 Multifuel engine, and then again for the LD-465 and later LDT-465 engines.
There are not as many "gasser" M-35s...
Welcome to SS ATC!
There's a throttle lever on the left of the dash....pull that out a notch or two.
Please download, read, and understand the -10 manual for the deuces. That will answer your other question and many others you haven't asked yet. :)
Please post those pics soon...we'd all love...
Welcome to SS!
Lately we've been getting a lot of new people here from the PNW. Our numbers are growing!
Can't wait to see some pics of your deuce when you get it...
I'm assuming they will need a complete rebuild. As you can see from the pics, there's a pallet of grousers that comes with it (extras). I can only assume there was a reason it comes with extras....
There are several rebuild options...and some complete new track solutions out there, so I'm not...
Very cool! Fun stuff...
I did that in my jeep in my work parking lot a few years ago. Nice and slow, get out and take a pic, etc. Fun.
Just then a cop pulled up and threatened me with a reckless driving ticket...WTF? It was on private property. He told me to go....so I got in the jeep...
I just bought a Weasel....1945 hard top.
Here's some pics from the previous owner.
I'll be doing the recovery this weekend (Feb 8th) and will post pics of that when I get back.
Weasel on...
Looks like fun. One thing about the deuces...if there is a bottom, they will find it. This can be a good thing if the bottom is not too far down....or a bad thing if the bottom is about 15 feet. :o
Hope you have a good pressure washer. :)
This topic has been gone over a bunch of times. I think a quick search for "Solargizer" will quickly answer your question....and maybe give you a bit more info on these devices than you initially asked for...
