Clearly looking at the picture from Autozone you can see it is not the same alternator casing, there is only one bolt bracket on the bottom. The CUCV alternator has two, one on each side. This is going by that is the correct pictured alternator.
In the world of Chevrolet this is how it works for rating, you have a 1/2 ton truck as per the VIN designation from GMC. The pickups are 5/4 ton, but the VIN is D30 which is technically 1 ton.
x10 = 1/2 ton
x20 = 3/4 ton
x30 = 1 ton
The X is as follows.
C = 2wd
K = 4x4
D = Postal/Military...
Yes, very true. You can fry your GP card, burn out your driver alternator, or many other bad & expensive parts.
To the OP, you really need to take the time to read the TM and search your question. From what I gather you are talking about a civilian GP relay and that is not the same, not even...
I had a good time and the M35A2 from what I say being at night looks really good for a restore. You could see the bed was removed and welded back on in the restoration. So a plus for the Scyros rebuild.
After talking to Wes with his M1009 that I actually looked at when it was for sale on GL, he...

Very messy radio wiring under the dash, I would remove all of that and if you want a radio start over and do it right.
As for the other issue, your best bet is to just race all the wires and follow the wiring diagrams in the TM manuals. That is really going to be the best way yo fix...
I wanted to bump this post as to how important what Doghead posted here, the Ford realy will not work and will cause damage to your GP card. It will work, but the driver alternator and GP relay will get hot and also the GP card will likely go bad. I was also only getting about 12v from the...
This is a good thread as well, shows how to build once with parts from Harbor Freight. I have made two of these mounts as you will see from the OP idea.

If you are meaning by local state auction as not GSA live, GSA online, GL, or any federal government auction, then yes. Some of the cheapest CUCV trucks I have bought are from local government auctions for local municipalities that got CUCV trucks trough the government. They used them for the...
