    Veggie Oil Mix

If I run it without the gas (I think it is to make it easier to start) would there be any other probs?

    Veggie Oil Mix

I believe the mix he used is 10% diesel, 5% gas, and 85% veggie oil. I live in az so it is like 50 when I start in the morning. :)

    Veggie Oil Mix

I have a friend who runs his f250 on a mix of filtered vegetable oil, diesel, gas, and a diesel additive. I put a little in my cucv m1009 and it seemed to run fine, although it was a little harder to start. Does anyone else run this? Concerns/Complaints about this setup. The veggie oil is...

    Keys

It has rounded corners. It looks like a 73y2 (B) that is pictured in the FAQ. I'll try giving the locks some graphite.

    Things to upgrade?

I recently purchased a 84 cucv m1009 that has a 4" lift and 35" mud terrains on it. As far as I know everything is stock on it. Are there certain components I need to upgrade to be able to offroad this without breaking stuff. I know the rear-end is weak, but what else. I am told that the...

    Keys

The key for the ignition on my blazer doesn't unlock the doors. Is there a way to tell what key code the key I use is? Also are there any common problems with the door locks I could look for?

    Alternator Light Dimly Lit

I think the belts are ok. What connections should I check? The ones on the alternators are ok. I didn't see anything in the FAQ section.

    Alternator Light Dimly Lit

I recently bought a cucv m1009 and when driving at night I noticed that the gen 2 light stays dimly lit at idle but when the engine is revving it goes out completely. I checked the alternators and the drivers side put out 14.3V and the passengers puts out 28.2V. The meter in the truck is in the...

    Hub Turning

It was in 4 lo with the hubs unlocked when the transfer case broke. What could have caused the case to break? It broke all the way around the main housing just driving up a steep rocky hill. The truck was stuck, but the case didn't hit anything it just cracked and spilled oil everywhere. Also is...

    Hub Turning

Hey I took my truck off-roading today for the first time and noticed you can turn the front hubs to lock or release. I had read somewhere that I could just use the 4x4 shift in the cab to go in and out of 4x4. What does the lock/release do on the hubs? Before I noticed them they where on release...

    1st cucv have questions

I guess it was the transfer case. I went 4-wheeling today and checked the fluid before I left as per your recommendation. It was full but continued to make the noise on the trip there. Once I got there my buddy drove his 4 runner up these rocks in 2wd. I decided I should put it in 4 because I...

    1st cucv have questions

Hello, I just purchased a 1984 cucv m1009 blazer with a 6.2 detroit diesel. After playing with it this afternoon I have some questions. What is the switch that is depressed as the gas pedal is applied? Also when climbing hills I can here a sound that sounds like a hand crank winch being wound...
