The only real adjustment is for the clutch pedal free travel. As long as you have the free travel the clutch is adjusted. It's possible that you may have some broken fingers on the pressure plate. Or could have some fluid saturation on the clutch disk from a leaking transmission or rear main...
You do have oil in it right??? Get a new gauge and make sure you have oil pressure!!!!!!
The gray smoke is not a bad sign....could just need run a bit and warmed up some.
Did you get under the truck and make sure there is no oil coming out of the hole in the bottom of the bellhousing???????
If the transmission leaks or the rear main seal leaks into the bellhousing it will saturate the clutch and it will slip.
The only real adjustment is on the pedal free...
Yes, you need to hold until it builds oil pressure, but not for any longer than about 15 seconds!!!!!
It should have plenty of pressure before that length of time in warmer weather like this. If after you have pressure and it still doesn't start then you may have a safety switch issue that we...
Ron, I would suggest changing them all over to the 24's but YOU don't need any more road speed. You're the only person I've known or heard of taking a 36000# truck airborne
Nice looking truck. Welcome aboard from just a hour or so East of you. You'll have to keep your eyes open for some more columbus related gatherings at Kipmans Farm...good times to be had by all (mostly because we're laughing at gimpy for one dumb thing or another)
Definitely sounds like the clutch is slipping. Maybe transmission fluid level issue?
I would start by bleeding the brake system and see if that helps the pedal out. If your master cylinder vent was converted over to the "Axle check valve" style vent, that may be an issue. There was a theory...
I remember doing that about 25 years ago on the center caps of the first car I had...I repainted the car and wanted to paint the center caps, but didn't want to paint the emblems...didn't think of vasoline, but a light coat of grease does just as good. Thanks for bringing back some old memories...

It's really nice to see those planes still flying around. It's a shame that so many of them have been lost over time. I'm glad that there are orginizations out there preserving them as much as they can.
When you are typing a reply, just scroll down below your text box a little and you'll see a button to "Manage Attachments" like in the screenshop I'm posting. From there just upload the pics you want to submit and they should resize automatically if needed. Easy
Looks like a great time was had by all. Thanks for sharing the pics. Kinda nice seeing friendly faces again, at least in pics. maybe I'll be able to swing the GA rally again this year and catch up with some folks
Don't start replacing parts until you find out what is going on with the generator
Start off by verifying you have fuel returning to the tank while your pumps are on. It should be a steady stream, not just a trickle. There is a check valve in the lines near an elbow that is notorious for...
Pegged voltage with no ability to adjust usually indicates a screwed up voltage regulator. I'm not sure what the boards look like but in the MEP-002a and MEP-003a's that symptom is unually indicative of a bad output transistor
Phils' excellent adventures!!!!
You have got to have some of the most interesting things going on in FL. Even a small trip to Mcdonalds turns into an MV adventure for you...lucky guy
