In the TM9-2320-218-20-1-1, page 3-63 there is an illustration for a Simpson TDS-2. I found a TDS-3 and was wondering if anyone knew the difference between the two models. Can I use this newer model on a mutt?
Why do you want to install ROPS on an A-2? I can understand if it was an A-1 for that extra sense of safety. Just don't make any radical manuvers when driving and you'll be fine, especially in an A-2. Just my .2 cents.
The Ford A-1's had BUDD tags that are attached to the top center area of the firewall. On A-2's there is a tag on the body to the left of the transmission tunnel. Easiest way to find it, is to sit in the drivers seat and reach down by your right leg. However, these numbers don't match the serial...
AIE1, checkout this website www.g838.org we are 151 specific. Join and ask your question there. Great folks always willing to help out a mutt owner. The resource page also has downloadable manuals but not the one you seek.
Ed,
How you doing? The A-2 is still pieces just waiting for me to get time to paint it. Where are you going to store this thing? If he didn't give you an asking price I would start with the actual scrap value and go from there. Cash talks and these are hard times for most people because of the...
I would also like to get one of these after reading up on it. What's everyones opinion of the one that is listed at the Idaho motor pool? Do you guys think the price is in line?
Mike,
There is another website that is dedicated to M-37 vehicles. www.g741.org real easy to become a member and it has a registration area for your truck. Check it out.
Tim
Does anyone know if these were sold? The listing is gone and it hasn't been relisted. Probably a good thing I didn't catch this sooner or I would have added two more to the collection.
bambikiller,
Looks like a nice vehicle and the price was great. Did it come with a title? You may want to go to this site www.g838.org they are strictly m151 specific and a lot of great knowledgeable guys there to help out.
Does the tub have floor drains on the driver and passenger side? If so, it's a late model A-2. I think these started in 76 through the end of production. Also check the date on your horn and engine data plate.
Try Neptune Aviation Services Inc. in Missoula Mt. This appears to be the same R3350 we use on the P-2 Neptunes. The phone number is 406-542-0606 ask for Randy Hendricks or Tracy Brendal. Here's the website: www.neptuneaviation.com Not sure if they are going to pay 10K for an engine without...
