DEMILITERIZED and Swiss M931a2 Build Thread
Picked up a m931a2 a few years ago from a interesting set of circumstances. Have steadily done some modifications to it but nothing major until now. The plan is to make it into a offroad dump truck. Truck is in pretty good shape overall but had a few...
Your fuel problem is most likely filters but could be a bad fuel pump on the engine. Happened to our m915 and it made almost no power but with a rebuild it was roaring. Check your fuel fittings are tight and your rubber lines have no apparent cracks or breaks anywhere as air in the fuel is a...

Is this a good buy? Is it possible to find doors and glass for these or is there too much missing for it to be a good deal?
So I have a M931a2 and it currently doesn’t have any brake lights or turn signals. The brake lights weren’t working so we replaced the switch on the frame and everything worked. Then I took it for a cruise on some dirt roads which may have shaken something loose and hooked it up to our bolster...
This m923 has been one of the most reliable MVs I've ever seen. We have used this truck to go to almost all the ga rallys we have gone too and has hauled up to 21,000lbs of concrete blocks in the bed... it didn't like it though for a stock 250 cummins. It also got a brand new transmission before...
I was wondering how a m1082 trailer bed would fair as a dump bed. I am referring to the aluminum sides. Would there be any way to easily reinforce them or would they be ok for smaller loads. I was thinking of only hauling dirt/ sometimes 57 stone and not boulders.
I know of a place up in north Georgia called Iron Mountain. Unfortunately I have not been there so I do not have experience with the facilities but another option to look into that is in Georgia.
I would recommend taking your bumperettes off. They are cast iron and will snap in half very easily if you turn too sharp. (too sharp is pretty shallow on these trailers with 5 tons)
I can confirm this with our m923a0 it takes forever to air up the brakes from an idle so may need to bump the rpms to get good air pressure. I would also recommend removing the caging bolts before moving the trailer due to the trailer weighing almost 12k lbs. The truck will pull it but not fast...
