I think the extra brake lever you are referring too is a Decompression lever. If you hold it in when you kick start the bike it will turn over easier.

The cheapest and easiest way to feel slightly more power in your unit would be to put smaller tires on it. Not narrower but shorter. That will lower your ground clearance slightly and in effect give you a lower gear ratio. A couple of inches shorter tire would give you an effect you could feel.

Do you really mix it at 50 to 1? Thats a full Gallon of 2 stroke oil in every tank? I buy my oil wholesale but that is still over $10 a Gallon. Eddy
