Isn't it nice when your CUCV doesnt need anything? I made it 6 months without any repairs, it was a pleasant surprise.
And the premium AAA is great for buying cars, i think the towing distance is 50 miles or something i have used it several times, just bring a plate to throw on whatever you are...
Bedford Ma,
Any hills near you that you can back up to for a makeshift loading dock? Or ditch that you can back wheels of the truck in to lower it down?
And to stay on topic for the thread, want me to bring you some fuel?
Hmm i will try to make it the bass pro on thursday, dependent on what work i come up with this week.
And i would convoy, with Crazy, but my CUCV is down with a bad timing chain
Will be in the beatermobile (ford escort), maybe cazywelder and i can meet up and put the car in the back of his truck...
Stupid ds4 pumps and PMD's:twisted:
Only thing that is keeping me away from a 90's 6.5 and hopefully a CUCV2 one day
At least you were prepared with a spare, and have it mounted in the right location:gimp2:
When doing my pretrip, i checked the steering hoses from the engine bay, then when under i checked the steering box, my instructor reminded me i already had checked the steering :hammer:, i dont think he understood the multiple parts in a steering system.
Then when i was done on the right side...
Brackets are complete, air filter has 1 screw that is stripped and it hums,
I know my truck and the noises, i appreciate the ideas but it is going to come apart.
Also i am sure the chain is stretched because stretched chain = retarded pump= white smoke
Its time for some work, so i might as well...
Driving around today i could hear a noticeable noise right above idle, but not at idle and not when driving. Poked around under the hood and revved it, sounds like my timing chain is slapping around.
Tried advancing the pump a hair to clea up the massive amounts of smoke i've been making(also...
Wheres the pics! especially the downpipe
And have you replaced/ cleaned your cdr?
And did you do a complete engine swap? or just put the turbo on the 6.2
I would never do 5000 oci again. It happened by mistake over the winter to me
That oil was super thick and black
3000 is the number i am going by from now on.
Also i have used shell rotella, only because it has been cheapest or on sale every time i am buying
Just curious,
Why rebuild the rear brakes?
Wouldnt disks be a better option, even if they cost more the better braking and no more grabbing in the rain would be worth it to me.
